"Three Minutes – A Lengthening" director.

She is a writer, director, historian and cultural critic. She co-produced Steve McQueen's films: ‘12 Years a Slave' and 'Widows'. In 2019 Stigter published the book 'Atlas of an Occupied City: Amsterdam 1940-1945'.

She was inspired to make the film 'Three Minutes – A Lengthening' by Glenn Kurtz's book 'Three Minutes in Poland: Discovering a Lost World in a 1938 Family Film'. The film is narrated by Helena Bonham Carter and co-produced by Steve McQueen.
