The MDAG opening film will be the humor-filled story about different approaches to promoting peace between Israelis and Palestinians, Coexistence, My Ass! by Amber Fares. The Opening Gala will take place on May 8 at Multikino Złote Tarasy in Warsaw. A limited number of tickets for the ceremony, an exclusive meeting with the film’s protagonist Noam Shuster-Eliassi, and the cocktail reception are now on sale.

This is how Karol Piekarczyk, the Artistic Director, describes the opening film: "Is it possible to laugh in the face of what’s happening in the world? Can humor become a tool for change? Israeli comedian Noam Shuster-Eliassi, through her work and her fight for human rights and the rights of Palestinian residents, seeks to answer these questions. At the festival, Noam will not only meet with the audience, but you will also have a chance to see her stand-up performance (all proceeds will be donated to a non-governmental organization working in Palestine)."
