It’s hard to count all the important things that happened over the past year. One thing is certain – 2025 will go down in our history as the year when we truly felt the power coming from you: our Audiences, Partners, Journalists, and our irreplaceable Volunteers.
Thank you so much for that. We’re deeply moved that for more than 20 years now, you’ve been building with us a community focused on reality. It wasn’t an easy year, given everything happening around the world, but we didn’t look away from those we must remember – the brave Ukrainians fighting for their country and for Europe’s future, or the people suffering as a result of the genocide in Palestine. Films may not change the world on their own, but people do – people who watch them together and experience them together. It is in our shared community and solidarity that we find hope that each new year can be better than the last.
From January, we’ll be working at full speed on preparations for the 23rd edition of MDAG. Soon, we’ll also share news that proves just how extraordinary the events we create together truly are. For now, though, let’s rest and take a break from everyday life. Returns to these roots bring calm – and that is what we wish you this holiday season.
