Filmmaker, author, producer of her own works, and video artist, Anat Even is an independent Israeli artist. Her work explores themes of memory, identity, and belonging, and direct a poignant critical gaze at the Israeli society. She taught film for many years at Sapir Academic College in Sderot (2005–2020) and is co-editor of Tarkiv, an online documentary magazine by Israeli filmmakers. She has received, among other honors, the Cinema Prize awarded by the Israeli Ministry of Education and Culture (2004), as well as the Landau Prize for excellence in the arts (2011). Her films have been screened and awarded at numerous international festivals (Berlinale, Nyon, Cinéma du Réel, Leipzig, CPH, etc.).
