Home Movie Day for Climate: Pre-Premiere Concert of the Climate Choir and amateur film clips by the Home Movie Day Warszawa collective

Partners: Home Movie Day Warszawa, Komuna Warszawa, m.st. Warszawa, Filmoteka Narodowa – Instytut Audiowizualny, Muzeum Woli, Oddział Muzeum Warszawy, Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie, Towarzystwo Przyjaciół MSN

The Climate Choir was formed in the spring of 2020. This team of incredible personalities will perform a score by Aleksandra Gryka with lyrics by Monika Sadkowska. The piece gives voice to the thoughts of city dwellers, their environmental concerns, love of life, and hopes for a happy future for people and nature alike.

Visualizations by Home Movie Day Warszawa form an integral part of the project. These moving pictures will transport the viewers into the bygone past of Polish landscapes from several decades ago, set in the context of climate and the way it’s changing before our very eyes.

In addition to narrow-gauge film screenings, the Home Movie Day Warszawa collective, consisting of Paulina Haratyk, Gabriela Sitek, Magda Staroszczyk, and Monika Supruniuk, invites the public to add to the “Mothers-Daughters Album. By Choice” project, linked to “Daughter Rite” by Michelle Citron screened in the Home Archive section.
