BodyVoicing is a holistic workshop technique involving the use of vocal and movement exercises to warm up, open, and awaken the participants, preparing them for further training or daily tasks. The instructor utilizes yoga poses to allow the participants to focus and position their bodies to best support sound. Her exercises are based on vocal warm-up techniques acquired from masters of theatercraft. After the screening of ”Oh, it Hertz!”, workshop attendees will warm up their bodies invoking the Kristin Linklater resonance ladder and Zygmunt Molik practices. Alexandra Strelnikova’s exercises for people with asthma will be used to broaden breathing capabilities and facilitate working with movement and voice.
