City Docs: „Where does the corporate world lead to?”. Discussion after the film “The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel”

In Polish

The “City Docs” is a series of meetings with the experts, who help us plough our way through the most compelling problems of today, address issues and overthrow some myths. The upcoming special festival meeting will be devoted to corporations, seen not merely as employers, but most importantly, key players influencing the urban landscape they are functioning in. The starting point to our discussion with be the film Nowa Korporacja, which will help us address the topics on how corporations function around us, what can be learned from them, and should we be afraid. The film closely relates to the 2003 production “Korporacja”, which depicted corporations as psychotic creatures. The new take on this topic will show that corporations have come a long way after the 2008 crisis, and some new threats they pose today to society.
