Kino-eye, leg-dancefloor - a documentary ball

Almost 100 years have passed since Dziga Vertov made his avant-garde documentary masterpiece Kino-eye! To honor Dziga and several subsequent generations of creators, September 10 will be Documentary Filmmakers’ Day at our festival. May they keep fearlessly experimenting, seeking the truth, defending human rights, and tenderly regarding others. The world is awakening thanks to them!

Millennium Docs Against Gravity and Doc Lab Poland are throwing a ball where we will celebrate their work. We’re opening our dancefloor to the guests of this year’s festival and earlier editions, the participants of Doc Lab Poland, and—naturally--all our attendees.

We will drink a toast to every winner of this year’s award gala of the 18th Millennium Docs Against Gravity. There will be plenty to drink to and plenty to enjoy!

Life can be more surprising than fiction - particularly on the Kulturalna dancefloor!

Practical Lady - finalist of the Redbull Music 3style World DJ championship. The first female Champion of Poland. Music producer and lyricist, event promoter, artistic manager. 80s and 90s aficionado with a docus on r’n’b, rap, and soul. Her musical influences could be described as an affair of classic tunes with ambiguous electronica. She blends originality and a talent for evoking emotions with high-level technical skills. Her experience extends beyond Polish stages—she played in Japan, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Spain. In Pakistan she had the pleasure of performing at the country’s biggest music event, Music Mela Festival. She appeared at the Eurovillage festival and supported Masta Ace and the legendary American band Slum Village.

Mme Czarnecka - dynamic sets in which a stronger beat meets melodic pop, rock'n'roll and disco.
