In this block we present two films co-directed by Susan Sontag: "A Primer for Pina" and "Waiting for Godot in... Sarajevo".

These two films, though different in their subject matter, are linked by the question of the role of art in the contemporary, multidimensional world, as well as by the figure of Susan Sontag, who not only creates the world portrayed in the featured documentaries, but also appears in them as protagonist.

Waiting for Godot... in Sarajevo

Film is presented at the festival without english subtitles.

In April 1993 Susan Sontag travelled to Sarajevo for the first time to visit her son David Rieff who was living in the besieged city and working as a correspondent for US magazines.

She returned in mid-July of the same year to stage Samuel Beckett’s play at the “Pozoriste Mladih” (Youth Theater).
