Director, screenwriter, curator and writer working simultaneously in the fields of cinema and contemporary art. Director and screenwriter of the film “Performer” (2015, together with Maciej Sobieszczański), inspired by the life of Oskar Dawicki (awarded the Think: Film Award, presented at London's Tate Modern). Director of the film “A Heart of Love” (2017, script: Robert Bolesto) about the relationship between artists Wojciech Bąkowski and Zuzanna Bartoszek. The film premiered at the Berlinale and in the Bright Future section at the Rotterdam Film Festival. Director and screenwriter of the film “All Our Fears” (2021, together with Lukasz Gutt) inspired by the life and art of Daniel Rycharski. The film premiered in the main competition of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia where it won the Golden Lion (2021). Member of the board of the Directors Guild of Poland. Graduate of the directing and screenwriting programme at the Wajda School. Curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Author of the books: “Strategie subwersywne w sztukach medialnych”, “Sztuka polska lat 70. Awangarda”, “Polska Nowa Fala. Historia zjawiska, którego nie było”, “Kino-Sztuka”, „Historie Filmu Awangardowego”, “Oświecenie czyli tu i teraz”. Together with Łukasz Gorczyca he wrote the novel "W połowie puste".
