Should we be worried about our digital footprint?
Debate following the screening of MADE TO MEASURE dir. Hans Block, Moritz Riesewieck, Cosima Terrasse

An experiment, an interactive project and a film all in one. Is it possible to reconstruct a human based on their five-year history of activity on Google? Is it possible to create a doppelganger who does not know the "original", but knows their conscious and unconscious online activities? The film/social project attempts to recreate a person in detail down to their personality and psychological profile. The effect is devastating. Throughout the film we observe reactions of the person who is being reconstructed. The project illustrates how even a small amount of data on the web is enough to identify needs, interests, opinions and personal characteristics. On this basis, companies can create comprehensive profiles of their clients that allow them to conduct effective marketing communication, or to go even further, manipulate us. The film, the subject of which is relevant to all of us, will be an opportunity to debate our own self awareness when it comes to online activity. Do we realise how many digital footprints we leave behind? Should we be careful about the traces left behind?
