When an actress enters a film set, does her body automatically become the property of the (usually male) creators? How has nudity and sex been portrayed in movies, past and present? Is there a place in the film industry for bodies that do not conform to the conventional and rigid standards of beauty? Katarzyna Figura has been proclaimed the Polish Marilyn Monroe, mainly due to a certain Mariola Wafelek, whom she played in the film "Train to Hollywood" by Radosław Piwowarski. This role, together with the performances in "Kingsajz" and "Kiler" by Juliusz Machulski, brought her great popularity. She also flirted with Hollywood, appearing in "Prêt-à-Porter" by Robert Altman and "The Pianist" by Roman Polański. Today, years later, at a completely new, wonderful stage of her artistic career, Katarzyna Figura will talk about the not always pleasant times of film nudity and sex, just like the heroines of the film shown: Jane Fonda, Joey Soloway, Angela Robinson, Karyn Kusama, Rose McGowan, Rosanna Arquette, Alexandra Billings, Stacy Rukeyser and Emily Meade.
