Screening of the film “Body Parts” | pre-screening introduction by sexologist Agnieszka Wiszniewicz

Sexualisation – the process of valuing human beings through the prism of sexual attractiveness – in its socio-cultural dimension has been particularly evident in cinematography, determined for years by the male gaze. Each era of cinema has presented sexualised images of women, which have represented a diversity of changing cultural attitudes. Their common denominator, to a large extent, is a perspective where sex and the body are shown from the position of tools, serving the fulfilment of male desires and fantasies.
