Presentation of the report YOUNG HEADS by UNAWEZA Foundation

Meeting with Martyna Wojciechowska and Joanna Flis

How do young people perceive themselves, what do they struggle with, and most importantly, where do they seek help. The “MŁODE GŁOWY. Otwarcie o zdrowiu psychicznym” (YOUNG HEADS. Openly about mental health) report attempts to answer these questions by giving the voice to the youths themselves. 180 000 students from all over Poland participated in the study examining their mental health and sense of self-worth. The findings are truly alarming: half of the students in Poland have drastically low self-esteem, every third child struggles with the will to live, almost 9% of them have already attempted suicide. The findings of the YOUNG HEADS report will be presented and discussed by Martyna Wojciechowska (mother, chief of UNAWEZA Foundation, journalist and explorer) and Joanna Flis (psychologist, pedagogue, expert and co-creator of the research method used in the YOUNG HEADS project).
