EDWARD POREMBNY

”Edward Porembny started his career in Paris, France, where he obtained a degree in Film and Art. He moulded a successful career making documentaries winning several awards in the process, for leading broadcasters around the world, including ARTE, Channel 4, HBO, Canal+, France Télévisions, TF1, Al Jazeera, TVP, NDR or NRK. Edward has become a filmmaker with a specialisation in international co-production. By now Edward has done over 50 films. Edward has attended Moonstone International, Strategic Marketing and Prime Packaging workshops and is an EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) 2007 graduate.

He is member of SCAM (Société civile des auteurs multimedia) and SACD (Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques) in France, ZAIKS (Stowarzyszenie Autorów ZAIKS), SFP (Stowarzyszenie Filmowców Polskich) in Poland, IDA International Documentary Association) in USA and he is member of EFA (European Film Academy). Award selection: To the Last Tree Standing received 3 Gold Lions at Cannes Lions 2018, Gold Pencil at D&AD in London, 2 Gold Pencils at One Show for Creativity in New York, 3 Gold Swords at KTR in Warsaw. I Am Kuba has received Tromsø Palm Award the best film in Tromsø Festival, 'Ildfluen' award for best mid-lenght documentary at Den Norske dokumentarfilmfestivalen and Tadeusz Mazowiecki journalist 2015 prize for Best television film. It was also nominated to Prix Europa 2015 for the best TV documentary. Madame Tyson was selected for AfryKamera 2013, Glasgow International Film Festival 2013, received TV5MONDE Best Price at Sunny Side of the Doc La Rochelle, France, nominated for the 2014 Polish Film Awards. Inheritance aka Spadek was selected for LA Polish Film Festival, Gdynia International Film Festival, Victoria New European Film Festival and Koszalin Film Festival. Death Leap was selected for the 15th Film Festival of Independent Cinema in San Francisco and Freaky Film Festival in Illinois. Space Traveler won the top award of the 1992 International Film Festival in Lectoure, France.

Edward wrote his first book 'My Senegalese Wrestling' published in 2020.
