Architectural accessibility in Cinema Światowid
Location and entrance
The cinema building is located in the city center, at 3 Maja 7 Street in Katowice. The entrance to the cinema is in a gate (coming from the market square – the second gate on the right side of the street, between Ziko Pharmacy and the Femme boutique).
The path to the entrance is paved with cobblestones. About 50 cm before the entrance, there are 4 metal posts. The nearest tram and bus stops, as well as the train and bus station, are nearby. Distance from stops:
bus – 150 m
tram – 130 m
train station – 150 m
Toilet:
There are no toilets adapted to the needs of people with specific requirements in the building.
Obstacle-free route. Corridors and passageways in the cinema are free of obstacles for people with disabilities.
Assistance dog:
People with disabilities are welcome to enter the building with guide dogs.
Parking:
The cinema does not have its own parking lot. The nearest parking spaces are located on Młyńska Street (200 m), Mickiewicza Street (400 m), and there is also the option to park in the underground parking lot at the Katowice shopping mall (350 m) – free parking up to 2 hours.
Main cinema hall (Królestwo):
The large cinema hall is located on the ground floor of the cinema building. The entrance to the hall is on the right side of the second foyer. The access route is free of obstacles for people with disabilities. There are two designated spaces for wheelchair users in the hall (on the right and left side of row 9).
An induction loop is installed in the main hall and at the ticket counter.
Small cinema hall (Ukryte):
The small cinema hall is located one floor below the large hall. The entrance to the small hall is not adapted for wheelchair users – there is no elevator or ramp. There are stairs leading down to the hall.

Kinoteatr Rialto
The Kinoteatr Rialto building is located in the city center, at Św. Jana 24 Street in Katowice. The main entrance to the cinema is from the street. There are stairs in front of the building. The entrance for wheelchair users is located on Wojewódzka Street – there is a 5 cm step to the building, and for heavier electric wheelchairs, a portable, stable ramp is provided to allow smooth entry directly onto the ground floor of the cinema hall. It is necessary to inform a staff member by phone (or via a caregiver), who will open the door on request. A cinema employee is available to assist guests at the ticket counter and in the cinema area. Staff are available before and after screenings.
INDUCTION LOOP
An induction loop is installed at the cinema ticket counter.
The nearest tram and bus stops, as well as the train and bus station, are nearby.
