Festival opening gala. Screening of the film LETTERS FROM WOLF STREET and meeting with the filmmakers

Friday, May 9 | 7:00 p.m. | DCF, screening room Warszawa

Festival opening gala. Screening of the film LETTERS FROM WOLF STREET, dir. Arjun Talwar and meeting with the director and the editor

Straight from Berlinale to the opening of the 22nd Millennium Docs Against Gravity! We will begin the Wrocław edition of the festival with a screening of an intimate yet humorous look at Poland from the perspective of its director, a native of India and a long-time resident of our country. A picture of contemporary Europe emerges from just over a kilometre-long Warsaw's Wilcza Street, and in the director's lens, Poland, often perceived as unfriendly and conservative, takes on a heartwarming image. After the screening, we will talk to our guests about the reasons for migrating to Poland and ask them if they still struggle with a sense of alienation and how they overcome the barriers separating them from a still not entirely open country.

Guests:

Arjun Talwar, Bigna Tomschin, Aleksander Makowski

Gala hosts:

Magdalena Klich-Kozłowska, Joanna Panciuchin

Meeting host:
