Meeting with the director of The Passenger Andrzej Munk
after the screening of THE PASSENGER ANDRZEJ MUNK, dir. Michał Bielawski
The last event of the festival will be a meeting with Michał Bielawski, director of The Passanger Andrzej Munk. It is a documentary portrait of the author of such unforgettable works as Człowiek na torze (Man on the Tracks), Eroica and Zezowate szczęście (Bad Luck). The film tells the story of the artistic achievements of the leading director of the Polish Film School. It is illustrated with chronicles, photographs from the main character’s extensive archive, as well as impressionistic stagings. The whole piece is tied together by a voice-over narration which guides us through Munk’s biography and films, and is composed of interviews with the director, his colleagues and friends. We get to know a man immersed in history, his artistic evolution and the emotional journey it entailed.
