Clothing swap inspired by Dust to Dust
after the screening of DUST TO DUST, dir. Kosai Sekine
On a May Saturday afternoon, you will get a chance to meet Yuima Nakazato, a Japanese designer who has become a key figure in the ethical clothing manufacturing movement. He advocates moving away from mass production of clothes in favor of creating and buying unique items. These are easiest to find in second-hand stores, vintage shops, or at clothing swaps. Inspired by his thinking about socially responsible fashion, we invite you to a free clothing swap at the DCF cinema!
The whole idea of swapping is to clean out your closet, find a new home for pieces that are no longer useful to their current owners, and make someone happy with your clothes. So please bring your unwanted, used garb, but please remember that it should be clean and in good condition (in this case, registration is required at: zapisy@dcf.wroclaw.pl). You can also come just to look for new items, so feel free to rummage through the hangers—after all, we all care about reducing consumption and pollution on our planet!
