The first person in the world to kayak every kilometer of the Amazon River — from its source to its mouth (1985–1986). A member of the legendary Canoandes ’79 expedition, which navigated twenty-three rivers across the Americas, including the first-ever descent of the Colca Canyon in Peru (1981). A graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty at the AGH University of Science and Technology, co-founder of the Academic Kayaking Tourism Club “Bystrze.” Media coordinator for expeditions of, among others, Aleksander Doba, Dawid Andres, Hubert Kisiński, as well as Michał Woroch and Maciej Kamiński. Author of an article in National Geographic about the Amazon expedition, and author of books and numerous travel-related publications. President of the non-profit organization Canoandes, Inc., supporting expeditions to South America. Member of The Explorers Club. Honorary Citizen of Rzeszów. Awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. Twice listed in the Guinness World Records. Professionally, an entrepreneur—owner of an environmental research company in the United States—and an active kayaker. He lives in the United States with his wife; they have two sons.
