Over a dozen years ago, Maciej took his son and two of his young friends on vacation, during which they filmed an amateur horror movie together. 'Candidates of Death' is a film about the power of great friendship, growing up, the changes we go through, our fears, dreams, and plans, set against the backdrop of a grand cinematic adventure spanning decades.

Jakub Poterała – film director and screenwriter, a graduate of the Gdynia Film School. His graduation film, ‘Penguin Habits’, was screened at festivals in Gdynia, Beijing and Saudi Arabia, among others. He began his artistic career by making music videos, video essays and other works situated at the intersection of the visual arts, literature and music.
