Documentary Academy: Whom does accessibility concern, and why is it so important?

after the screening of BUGBOY, dir. Lucas Paleocrassas

Recommended age: 14+

Yorgos, a shy teenager with a vision impairment, struggles to connect with others after his parents’ divorce. His bond with a cricket named Isabella becomes a catalyst for transformation and self-discovery. His passion for insects opens the door to lessons about trust, friendship, and growing up.

The workshop will explore the day-to-day life of a blind person. How do they access and participate in cultural events? We will discuss the rights of people with disabilities, dignity and independence, as well as their interests and activities. We will also address the issues of stereotypes and social exclusion.
