Meeting with Mehrdad Oskouei and Soraya Akhalaghi, the director and the protagonist of the film ‘A Fox under a Pink Moon’

16-year-old artist Soraya Akhalaghi, creating striking drawings and sculptures, spent five years filming her life with a mobile phone, capturing key moments and her attempt to flee Iran. Her visual art and personal archive create a poetic narrative, blending fantasy with reality. The director gives Soraya a voice as she explores questions of identity, migration, and freedom, as well as the need for artistic expression as a means of survival.
Moderator:
Aleksandra Muniak – a psychologist specialising in art therapy and crisis intervention. Founder of the ‘w.arte’ collective, which focuses on education in the field of art therapy and workshop activities. She works with children, young people and adults, providing psychological consultations and crisis intervention. As a lecturer, she teaches psychology students and is involved in training activities focused on supporting people in crisis. She gained her experience working with the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation, the Wyraziście Foundation and the SWPS University Clinic, among others. In her work, she combines a psychological approach with elements of art therapy, supporting the process of change and development in an atmosphere of mindfulness, respect and cooperation.
