Better Go Mad In the Wild
Franta and Ondra are twins. They spend their days with their chickens and cows. They argue, smoke joints, sleep under the open sky, and share their philosophy of life. It is a magical story about what remains when the bond that connects us begins to fade. Are the brothers eccentric madmen and storytellers? Their world bears marks of absurdity. Yet their harmonious world begins to fracture. Franta longs for freedom and change, while Ondra holds on to the safety of staying the same. Can a person spend a whole life in one place? Their dual existence cracks like a mirror—identical in appearance, yet driven by different desires. In the quiet embrace of nature, a fragile drama of separation, reconciliation, and perhaps even reunion unfolds. The film is based on a book by Aleš Palán and Jan Šibík.
