7th Young Audiences Documentary Film Forum – pitching
Saturday, 9 May | 10.00am – 6.00pm | State Ethnographic Museum
(The forum will begin with a masterclass: Remote Intimacy: Building Connection in a Distant Documentary Masterclass by Soraya Akhlaghi and Mehrdad Oskouei 10:00 am - 11:30 am)
We invite filmmakers, producers, distributors, and all those involved in the film industry to participate in the 7th Young Audiences Documentary Film Forum. During the Forum, we will discuss the idea behind the LET’S DOC program – Documentary Ideas Lab – and why it's worth creating and funding Polish documentary cinema for young viewers. We will present a masterclass on an extraordinary long-distance collaboration, which resulted in the outstanding film Fox and the Pink Moon directed by Mehrdad Oskouei and Soraya Akhalaghi.
The most important part of the Forum will be the presentation of five projects from the sixth edition of the LET’S DOC program, as well as three international projects specially invited to Poland for this occasion. The best projects, selected by us and our partners, will receive cash prizes. The Forum is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and build a support network for the brand of Polish documentaries for young audiences.
