Michał Marczak is a director, writer, and cinematographer whose films fuse documentary intimacy with a highly authored cinematic style. His 2026 feature documentary CLOSURE premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim, topping the IndieWire Critics Survey for Best International Doc. Marczak first gained international recognition with ALL THESE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, which won the Sundance Directing Award and the Heterodox Award at Cinema Eye Honors. The film appeared on numerous critics’ year-end lists, including Rolling Stone, and was named by IndieWire as one of the 100 best films of the decade. His earlier feature FUCK FOR FOREST had its North American premiere at SXSW, where it began a festival run that brought multiple awards and strong critical attention. Marczak has also directed music videos for artists including Radiohead (I PROMISE) as well as the short film/video BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, created for Mark Pritchard featuring Thom Yorke, which premiered at Sundance NEXT.
