The KOMPAS Award presented by the Museum of Emigration in Gdynia
In 2026, for the first time, the Emigration Museum in Gdynia will present the KOMPAS award to a film about crossing borders. The award recognises how this experience shapes destinies in powerful ways. KOMPAS stands for searching for direction in travel and in life's extreme situations, where migration can mean a physical journey or serve as a metaphor for inner change and the effort to find a place in a new reality.
