Why is animal suffering permitted ‘in the name of science’?

The film explores animal laboratories and the scientists who experiment on them. For some, they are heroes; for others, monsters. Many form genuine bonds with the animals and grapple with the ethical weight of the so-called “care-kill complex.” The film questions whether harming animals in the name of science can be justified, presenting evidence, arguments, and emotions from both sides of the debate.
