A graduate of the Film and Television Directing programme at the National Film School of Poland (PWSFTviT) and a member of the Polish Film Academy. Creator and director of the black comedy ‘Night at the Kindergarten’ (Netflix). Director of multi-award-winning documentaries. ‘52%’ (2007) took international festivals by storm, winning the Golden Hobby-Horse at the Kraków Film Festival. The feature-length ‘Monk of the Sea’ (2016) premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival. Director of over a dozen documentary series for Canal+, as well as the drama series ‘Glitter’ (Netflix, 2022) and ‘Udar’ (Viaplay / Prime, 2024). In 2025, his second feature-length comedy, ‘Seks dla opornych’, was released in cinemas, and in 2026, his true-crime documentary series ‘Morderca szyty na miarę’ premiered on HBO. He creates films that are eclectic in genre, and that is what he enjoys most.
