The beauty and tranquility of the ancient forests of France are captured in this visually captivating film by Vincent Munier, the acclaimed creator of ”The Velvet Queen”. Together with his father Michel and his son Simon, the director explores life in the wild woods—deer, owls, lynxes, capercaillies, and many other forest animals. The camera not only records images but above all “listens” to the forest as a living organism, where movement and sound form part of a complex web of life. Yet this is not only a story about the pleasure of connecting with nature, but also about family and the ways we can build strong bonds with those closest to us.
