A screening for carers with workshops for children

after the screening of RUNA SIMI, dir. Augusto Zegarra

Partner: The State Ethnographic Museum

We invite you to a special screening for carers and children. While the adults watch the film ‘Runa Simi’, the children will take part in parallel creative workshops led by educators from the State Ethnographic Museum.

During the workshop, the children will explore how language shapes our identity and our relationships with others. They will visit the exhibitions ‘Forms of Presence. Art of Lemkos/Carpatho-Rusyns’ and ‘Shared Homes’, where they will learn about the Lemko and Ukrainian languages and their role in culture and everyday life. Drawing inspiration from the film ‘Runa Simi’, the children will also discover why preserving linguistic diversity is worth it and how we can support it.

The workshops will take place at the same time as the screening and are intended for children aged 6–10 whose carers are attending the screening.

To take part in the workshops, please register in advance by sending an email to barbara@againstgravity.pl, attaching proof of your ticket purchase. Places are limited – ticket purchase alone does not guarantee a place at the workshops.
