Iryna Dovhan is a Ukrainian volunteer, social activist, and survivor-advocate. Born in Yasynuvata, Donetsk Oblast, she survived captivity in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and became one of the first women to speak publicly about conflict-related sexual violence committed by Russian soldiers. Since 2019, she has led SEMA Ukraine, a survivor-led network supporting women and men across the country in seeking justice and recognition under international humanitarian law. Her story is featured in the documentary ‘Traces’ directed by Alisa Kovalenko and co-directed by Marysia Nikitiuk.
