Jacek Bogucki comes from Krakow (born 4 July 1953). Since 1973, he has been associated with the Film Department of Telewizja Kraków. In 1979, he travelled to Mexico as the official filmmaker for the CANOANDES Expedition (1978–1982). In early 1986, he joined the Amazon Expedition as a filmmaker. Years later, he secured the original film negatives from that expedition, which were used in the production of the film ‘The Current’. Since 1982, he has worked as a photojournalist at the CBS TV affiliate in Casper, WY. From 1988, he worked at the NBC, CNN and ABC affiliates until 2005, after which he continued to work as a freelancer. He has produced numerous documentary programmes filmed in the USA and South America. He is married to Teresa and has a son, Tomasz.
