Piotr Małecki is a filmmaker and photographer, a graduate of the Wajda School, and the recipient of numerous Polish and international awards. His documentaries, supported by Canal+ and the Polish Film Institute, have premiered at DOK Leipzig and the Kraków Film Festival. His photographs have been published in The New York Times and The Guardian. He is a member of the Panos Pictures agency and founder of Short Docs Media. He has lectured at the Łódź Film School and the University of Warsaw. From 2016 to 2025, he served as a Canon brand ambassador. He successfully combines the world of photojournalism with documentary film.
