All These Sleepless Nights
An emotional portrait of modern twenty-somethings and a manifesto of the restless generation born after 1989. The film by Michał Marczak – the director of the acclaimed Fuck for Forest – has been compared by critics to the work of Sofia Coppola and the cult film Innocent Sorcerers by Andrzej Wajda, while its atmosphere recalls Spring Breakers by Harmony Korine. Krzysiek ends a five-year relationship with his first girlfriend and moves into the apartment of his best friend, Michał. The two plunge into the whirlwind of nightlife, from small house parties to club events and outdoor festivals. They worry about nothing, constantly chasing the feeling of finding their place in life. Through honest conversations, all-night parties, and wandering through the city, a picture emerges of dreams as well as fears and frustrations. The sudden appearance of Michał’s ex-girlfriend, the mysterious Eva, puts their friendship to the test. Pulsing with emotion and music, the story is told from the perspective of friends entangled in a love triangle.
