In October 1985, Santa Ana, California, was shaken by a brutal act of political violence when Palestinian-American community activist Alex Odeh was killed by a tripwire bomb in his office. Odeh was a respected teacher, poet, and regional director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, known for his work in human rights, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence. Despite clear evidence and identified suspects, the case was never solved, and his death has remained unexplained for nearly 40 years.
