The festival began with a historic opening gala, during which we learned the winner of the very first Documentary Grand Prix FIPRESCI — a new award in the world of cinema. Critics from around the world chose “Fiume o morte!” by Igor Bezinović as the best film of 2025. We also watched the moving film “Endless” (“Bez końca”) by Michał Marczak.
Although the regular film screenings begin today, the industry section of the festival — MDAG Industry — has been taking place since Thursday at the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw. To start, Polish and Swedish producers met as part of “MDAG CO-PRO.” The aim of the event is to foster international documentary co-productions. Each edition will focus on cooperation between Poland and a different European country — with Sweden being the first partner country.
