Gallery: DAY TWO

Saturday at the 23rd MDAG was full of excitement!

Packed cinema halls, meetings with filmmakers, a unique concert, and a party at Kulturalna – check out the photo gallery from the second day of the 23rd MDAG!

Yesterday featured the only screening during the 23rd MDAG of the film "Fiume o Morte!", which was honored with the FIPRESCI Documentary Grand Prix. For the first time in history, this award was presented on Thursday during the festival's Opening Gala.

During a masterclass, director Mehrdad Oskouei and co-director Soraya Akhalaghi of the film " A Fox under a Pink Moon" spoke about how to create an intimate, authentic documentary without ever meeting the subject in person. The panel kicked off the 7th Documentary Film Forum for Young Audiences.

Following the screening of Sara Dosa's "Time and water," the film’s protagonist, poet and activist Andri Snær Magnason, and musician Bartek Wąsik took the audience on an extraordinary journey. By merging two worlds—poetry and music—they paid tribute to the planet.

As part of THE BEST OF MDAG section, a screening of Erik Gandini's "Surplus. Terrorized into being consumers" took place. After the screenings, the audience had the opportunity to meet the filmmakers during Q&A sessions.

The day concluded with the "New York I love you, but..." party, inspired by the section of the same name. Participants were transported to the streets of New York, partying to the sounds of Sonic Youth, Talking Heads, and Lady Gaga.
