Gallery: Day Four at MDAG

Millennium Docs Against Gravity is a space for opening up to the presence of others and building mutual, friendly relationships. Appreciating any art form involves crossing a certain barrier – entering the realm of "being acquainted" with the author, even if we've never had the chance to meet him or her face-to-face. During the festival, we have the opportunity to enter this elusive realm, as we get to know each other "here and now" – both professionally and personally.

In this context, it's worth noting how many of the nearly 180 documentaries were shot while observing the everyday lives of their subjects. If there's a point to be made here, it's that it's worth letting the camera lens capture our experience so that others can understand us better. That's why we, too, have our own documentary filmmakers in the field – see for yourself what the meetings at the 23rd MDAG are like!
