Q&A with the director of ‘Confessions of a Swedish Man’

after the screening of CONFESSIONS OF A SWEDISH MAN, dir. Hampus Linder

The film’s protagonist and director, a Swedish single father and self-proclaimed feminist, travels to a conservative men’s retreat in Denmark. Over six years, immersed in the so-called ‘manosphere’ – the online world filled with hyper-masculine narratives, misogyny, and grievances – he attempts to understand the anger of the men there. After the screening, we will meet with Hampus Linder to discuss the way such communities function, as well as contemporary models of masculinity and changing gender roles.
