Przemek Corso – writer, screenwriter, voice-over artist, and award-winning author of children’s stories from the series ‘Opowieści z Białej Doliny’. His novel ‘Serca twego chłód’ has been adapted into a comic book and laid the foundations for the world of ‘Marysia i cienie’. Editor-in-chief of ‘Dolnośląski Magazyn Pokładowy' and the voice of Koleje Dolnośląskie (announcing the names of 720 stations across the region).
Joanna Gniady – illustrator and visual artist, PhD in Humanities. She collaborates with magazines, publishers and cultural institutions around the world. She has drawn for the Paris National Opera, The Guardian, Netflix and Rizzoli. She loves getting lost in museums and suffers from an ear-rational fear of Van Gogh.
Aleksandra Mazoń – actress, director, screenwriter, voice-over artist, audio-describer – an artist who listens with equal attentiveness to the rhythm of the theatre and the inner breaths of cinema. Her films ‘Raz, dwa, trzy’, ‘Lalka i Beckett’ and the award-winning ‘Lato’ have taken festivals by storm in Poland and abroad. A creator of acclaimed productions, she is associated with the Wrocław Puppet Theatre. For many years, she has been consistently developing her own moving artistic language.
will award the Lower Silesia Grand Prix to the director of the best film selected from among those competing in the Main Competition of the Wrocław edition of the festival.
Following the gala, we invite you to a screening of ‘Please Do Not Sit’, during which we will embark on a sentimental journey with Wojciech Plewiński, an outstanding Polish photographer and creator of over five hundred covers for the ‘Przekrój’ weekly. The evening will conclude with a meeting with the film’s director and its main protagonist.
