A hit of the 22nd edition of MDAG, the film is a moving story of a teacher from the Russian Urals who documents how, following the aggression against Ukraine, schools become subordinated to propaganda and militarization. The film shows the reactions of young people, the fear of local residents, and Pasha’s courage as he risks his life to reveal the truth about the Russian regime.

The film becomes a study of social passivity and internal emigration – a survival strategy in a country where no one has the courage to openly protest. Teachers at Pasha’s school declare loyalty, control their words, and retreat into private life – Roman Pawłowski-Felberg, OKO.press
