Educational meeting: What should you know about the historical context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

After the screening of NO OTHER LAND, dir. Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham, Rachel Szor

Adra, a lawyer and journalist, was born and raised in Masafer Yatta in the West Bank, whose residents are fighting a legal battle to preserve their village. Together with Yuval Abraham, a Jewish journalist, they form a director's duo. Their Palestinian-Israeli filmmaking collective has been filming events in the village for five years. Every day, they try to help the people of Masafer Yatta and tell the world about their tragedy. How can the film and learning about history allow us to understand the broader context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and think about peace?

Guest:

dr Dominika Blachnicka-Ciacek – anthropologist of migration, visual sociologist, former human rights observer and Polish coordinator of the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel
