Max and Bastian do not identify with the sex assigned to them at birth. Max feels like a transgender boy. Bastian often identifies with the female gender. The hormone blockers they take allow them to buy time and make informed decisions regarding their bodies and how they will be shaped at puberty. How can peers be supportive in the difficult process of determining one's gender identity? What role does family and school support play? What is non-binary gender?
