This film originated from Alys Tomlinson's award-winning photography series "Ex-Voto", on view to festival audiences from 10 to 19 May in Sala Gagarina at Kinoteka. During her work on the project, Alys met the protagonist, a nun who offers help to others while also experiencing a crisis of faith. She and Cécile Embleton decided to portray this fascinating character in a film. Now, the three of them, both directors and the protagonist, accompanied by producer Laura Shacham, will meet the audience after the Polish premiere of "Mother Vera". They will explain how this moving story about self-discovery was transferred to the screen. Meeting in English with translation into Polish.
