Speak Out! workshops
after the screening of SPEAK., dir. Jennifer Tiexiera, Guy Mossman
The protagonists of Speak., top five teenage speech competitors from American high schools, spend almost a year preparing for one of the largest and most grueling public speaking competitions in the world. We will try to develop our public speaking skills and increase our self-confidence during an hour-long workshop on self-presentation and the art of public speaking. Using theatrical improvisation techniques and other methods, we will learn how to effectively express our thoughts and ideas, but also how to deal with performance anxiety, build rapport with the audience, and react in unexpected situations.
Host:
Anna Wojtkowiak-Williams – actress, improviser, improvisation coach working on stage since 2000. A graduate of cultural studies at the University of Wrocław, she obtained a diploma from the Association of Polish Stage Artists (specialization: mime actor) and graduated from the School for Mime Theatre in Ohio, USA.
Participation in the workshops is free of charge (number of places is limited).
