A VR experience for two strangers who design each other's physical features as they journey through dreamlike landscapes. It prioritizes imagination over image, defying dating apps' superficial logic and highlighting who we are rather than how we appear.

EchoVision

USA, 2024
Created by: Jiabao Li, Amber Botao Hu, Matt McCorkle
Production: Jiabao Li Studio

A mixed reality experience allowing participants to perceive the world like bats through sound visualization. Using bat-shaped HoloKit sets, people navigate by making sounds and watching them bounce back. AI correlates bat calls with behaviors, creating bat lullabies and love songs.

Voice in my Head

USA, 2024
Directed by: Kyle McDonald, Lauren Lee McCarthy
Production Support: Keira Chang

A software-based performance where your inner monologue is replaced with AI that speaks in your own voice. The experience begins with an onboarding session asking how you'd like your inner voice to change, questioning whether anyone truly has their own perspective.

The Tent

USA, 2024
Directed by: Rory Mitchell
Production: The Mercantile Agency

"The Tent" is an augmented reality project, telling a story about contemporary Los Angeles and presenting the complex relationships between those who have a roof over their heads and the homeless, portraying this subject with humor and empathy. Created using AR technology, this work allows viewers to observe a miniature world from various perspectives – like a film around which we can freely move.
