Born in South Africa, Alexis worked for National Geographic, BBC World and PBS Frontline in her early career. In 2014, she won the PGA Award for "We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks.” Alexis directed HBO’s "Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds," “Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes,” and “Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg.” Her latest film is "The Bibi Files." She’s been nominated for three Emmy Awards and shortlisted for the Academy Award.
