Christian Frei - born in 1959, Christian Frei is one of Switzerland’s most internationally renowned and acclaimed directors. WAR PHOTOGRAPHER (2001) was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 74th Academy Awards. THE GIANT BUDDHAS (2005), SPACE TOURISTS (2009), and GENESIS 2.0 (2018) were screened in competition at the Sundance Film Festival, where he won the World Cinema Directing Award in 2010. His films are considered to be humanistic and universal, as much as subtle and insistent.
