Eliza Petkova was born in Bulgaria. After completing a Master's degree in Philosophy and Japanese Studies in Düsseldorf, she studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. She has created several shorts and four feature films. Her works have premiered at festivals such as Festival de Cannes, Berlinale, IDFA, Palm Springs, Shanghai International Film Festival and received numerous awards. SILENT OBSERVERS is the last part of a trilogy dedicated to the village of Pirin.
